Hazel has continued her professional development by studying to become a qualified yoga instructor (200RYT) with Frog Lotus Yoga International. Here she studied not only yoga asanas and sequencing, but also the history and philosophy of yoga.
Hazel Hussey Pilates and Yoga offer a contemporary programme of mat-based Pilates and Vinyasa Yoga classes.
Pilates is a safe and effective way to stretch, strengthen and streamline the body, as well as helping to prevent or reduce injury. It is particularly effective at strengthening and toning the muscles of the abdomen. This can benefit those who suffer from lower back pain as the deep stabilising muscle of the abdomen attach to the spine, helping to support the back.
In Vinyasa Yoga the poses flow together and are synchronised to the breath. This allows the class to keep moving, making it a great workout for the whole body. The classes are alignment oriented, ensuring that each pose is performed correctly and safely.
